I love this sequence so much. It's perfect. I love the acting, I love the shots, I love the editing, I love the dialog, and god do I love the soundtrack. Such a beautiful bit of TV history

You would pick the one sequence in Doctor Who that has my blubbering like an idiot every single time wouldn't you? Lol, of course I would. After all, it's probably the most emotional scene in all of New Who.
The 'Everybody Lives' thing works, too, but for me it doesn't reach this sequence. Probably because I'm obsessed with angst and unhappy endings, lol. I don't even know which bit of this scene gets to me most - it may be what he says about having someone to care for, or maybe it's just the way he's crouched there on the floor, and the camera is at an angle so it seems like he's miles away from the people in the background, and none of them make a move to comfort him or even acknowledge or understand his pain. It's just heartbreaking. :'(
In all the TV I've watched it's the one that makes me feel the most Absolutely. I had some moments in House fandom when I went absolutely crazy about the show, but that was with maybe 3 or 4 episodes in total. With Doctor Who, every single episode turns me into a jittery wreck, and I won't even talk about THAT CLIFFHANGER in the s4 finale. The show reaches something inside me that very few other shows or fictional 'verses have been able to touch so far.
