Waking that morning had made Teyla wonder if she was again in the wrong bed, perhaps the wrong body. Her eyes snapped open, and it did not take her long to realise that she was in her own hut, and that she was herself. That her bed was empty was a surprise, looking for Dave, and wondering why he had left. Her thoughts that he might have only gotten up to go for food, or to relieve himself faded as quickly as they'd come. His clothes that they had left tangled with hers were gone as well.
It did not take her long to put her own clothes on, or to jog to his hut. It took her longer to walk back to Atlantis once she had accepted what it's emptiness meant.
He was gone.
Still early, she did not think to see anyone in the clearing between their huts. Teyla stopped when she saw John there, frowning.
She could not think of anything to say.
