If there was anything unusual about this day, Teyla had not noticed it yet. She had spent most of her morning in quiet meditation, centering herself. It probably had been too much to hope that by the time he finally made it back to New Atlantis to pick up Cash and something to amuse himself with for the rest of the day, John would run into someone. Specifically Teyla.

There wasn't too much harm in running into her. Maybe. Teyla seemed to know more about John than he wanted anyone to anyway, so blurting them out around her wouldn't be as embarrassing.

"Hey Teyla," he called out, and waved at her across the way before ducking into his hut to pick up a golf club, a few tees, and his dog.

Teyla smiled when she saw John, unaware of any strangeness that had been happening that morning. "John," she walked across the clearing between them, stretching her arms and shoulders, "any plans for your day?"

"Hiding," John immediately said, then wished he could knock himself out with his own golf club. Or maybe Cash could stop jumping around like he was hopped up on coke and smother him to death. "Uh. Mostly."

Teyla's brow furrowed at his words, "I worry that you hide from things."

That she said what she had been thinking shocked he a great deal. "I did not mean to say that."
