There wasn't too much harm in running into her. Maybe. Teyla seemed to know more about John than he wanted anyone to anyway, so blurting them out around her wouldn't be as embarrassing.
"Hey Teyla," he called out, and waved at her across the way before ducking into his hut to pick up a golf club, a few tees, and his dog.
