Yup, thanks partly due to a job where I have a lot of time for my mind to wander and also thanks to a crack-headed little muse called Ikon, I have fic-bits. These are bite-sized pieces of stories that roam my head. I'm just laying these out here to hope that they form more cohesive stories.
The bits hopefully will appear in the final stories. They may or may not appear as they are written here, but hopefully the thought behind them will still be somewhere.
And without further babbling, on to the fic-bits.
1. "The planeswalkers of old are dead or gone and the new ones have changed. You are one of the new walkers. You have already showed your devotion to my kind and I sought you out to continue that devotion. Will you do that for me? Will you bring my children back together?"
2. He stopped and knelt on one knee. His hands cupped in a familiar position, a stance he normally took to think, to take in all the variables and plan out his moves, but this time was different. This time he needed the extra concentration to use this technique, his family's long forgotten blood line skill, the Shadow Walk.
3. Their kiss lingered, neither wanting to break away. Finally he pulled away and smiled his goofy smile before turning away. As he was about to leave something fell over his face. It felt soft and smelled of her. Lifting the article, he turned slowly and took in the sight of Sakura's well toned and bare back.
4. Ben watched, his eyes couldn't pull away from the monster as it picked up his cousin and tossed her aside like she was nothing. He watched as she landed, hard. Her head bounced. She didn't move and Ben couldn't tell if she was breathing, inside he felt something snap. A new hatred boiled up inside of him as he turned cold eyes toward the creature. He'd make it pay.
5. She felt the blade slice into her. The cool touch of metal before the heat of pain. Over and over she stabbed her arm where the ugly tattoo was being ripped apart. Biting her lip she tried to stab her arm again, but the blade wouldn't move.
6. He looked at the young boy who pulled on his cloak. Then he noticed the rest of the children who had gathered, humans, viashino, and a few scattered elves. With a smile and a nod, the bald wizard sat, placing his staff on the ground as the children gathered together. A new purpose filled Teferi's heart. Even though Zhalfir was gone, possibly lost forever, as long as he was alive and could form words, it would not be forgotten.
7. Rage burned inside him. He could feel the anger and the pain coursing through his body as he ran. He moved through the city so fast everything was a blur, he didn't even know where he was. Finally he stopped near a large walled in complex. Without a look or a though, his fist shot out impacting with the wall.
8. "A leafie, " His face brightened with amusement as he spoke. "You fell for a leafie."
The redness showing on her cheeks was enough to disprove any argument.
9. "Nakama?" He rolled the word over in his mind before he realized the Shanks had left. "Hey wait a second."
