I read an article about making marinades and I created this for some steaks. It's inspired by Belgian lambic. It was yummy. Here are 2 variants that turned out really well.
The base
- 2oz raspberry vinegar
- 2oz Leffe Blonde ale
- 4oz olive oil
- 5 leaves basil, chopped
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Versions:
Monk's fiesta
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- cilantro, chopped
- Half a large jalapeno, chopped
Wiseberry marinade.
All herbs should be roughly the same volume as the basil. Mix the base and whichever variant you choose. Season to taste with salt and pepper last. I soaked the beef overnight in bags then grilled it.
