I read yesterday that immediately after slaying Oscar Grant, the BART cops involved started
confiscating cellphones that may have had videos of the incident. The video's we've seen are the ones from people that escaped with their handsets. This got me thinking. If the video had already been posted online by the time the cops tried to cover up the murder, confiscating the handsets would have been futile.
So I did some digging. You can post video to youtube via MMS:
http://www.youtube.com/account#mobile/profile Just like when you snap a picture and you can send it to people (or to flickr) in the save prompt, you can capture phone video and send it directly to youtube. So any time you are collecting evidence of crimes in progress, you can ensure that the evidence is not destroyed.
If you have a pro flickr account, you can get a special email address that you can send pics to from your phone.
