12 galaxies and spam
So, that thing on the 12 galaxies site that says "Your address will not be released to any third parties." is a bold faced lie.
One, I never signed up for their email list, they obtained it somehow, probably from an online ticket purchase. 2, they just up and started sending me their newsletter. I NEVER opt-in to anything... I'm very careful about those checkboxes. 3, I've been getting spammed by bands/promo outfits I never heard of... when I've asked how they got my email, they say 12 G's gave them my email because I had been to one of their shows there. That I know for sure is not true. However, it goes to show that 12 Galaxies gives out email addresses to 3rd parties, even though they say they don't.
So: Never buy tickets online for a 12 G's show unless you want your box spammed. Pricks.
