A/N: I am so sorry it took me so long to update. Life and school have been kicking my ass, but hopefully I will be able to update a little more often now.

The plane ride was brief since there was no overlay, thank God; because my two girls were starting to run out of things to I spy. There is really only so much you can spy on a plane. Arizona picks Lucy up and carries her through the busy airport and we meet Addison at the baggage claim.

“Hey, how are my favorite ladies?” she says with a smile.

“Aunt Addie!” Lucy says excitedly. “Down mama?” Arizona gives her a sharp look. “Please,” she adds.

She runs right to Addison and she picks her up. “Hey munchkin, so how was the plane ride?”

“They played I spy the whole time,” I reply with a grin.

“The whole time?”

“Yup,” I nod.

“Is there really that much to I spy on a plane?”

“Apparently,” I laugh.

“I’ll have to try that sometime,” she says and we all laugh.

We drive to Addison’s house with the music on everyone singing “California Girls” by the Beach Boys. It’s an old time favorite of Arizona’s and Addison happened to have the CD in her car because it was “good summer music” according to her. I just go along with it even though the Beach Boys are one of my most hated groups.

We pull up to Addison’s and I go inside with Lucy because my two watchers have refused to let me carry anything. I take a seat on the couch and watch them bring our stuff in. “I’m hungry mommy,” Lucy crawls onto my lap and lays her head on my shoulder.

“And tired apparently,” I smile; she nods.

“There’s oranges and apples in the bottom drawer Lu,” Addison says.

“Yes!” she slides off and goes for the fridge. I can hear her rummaging through the drawer and then shut it, finding whatever she was looking for.

“What did you get?”

“Apple,” she smiles and sits beside me again.

“Can I have a bite?”

“Sure mommy, but not a big one,” she says. I take a nice big hunk out of the center. “I said NOT a big one mommy.”

“I know, but I’ hungry too.”

“Okay, I forgive you.”

Addison and Arizona both laugh at us. We smile brightly and she gets back on my lap. “When do we get to see inside mommy’s tummy?” she asks.

“Tomorrow, we’re going to go see Uncle Cooper too.”

“Yay!” she all but screams. “I get a check up too?”

“You sure do, he can tell us how much you’ve grown since the last time he saw you.”

“And how tall I am?”

“Yup that too,” Arizona answers.

“Yes!” she makes a fist pump. It makes me giggle.

“So ladies, what do you want for dinner?”

Arizona shrugs, “No idea, any suggestions munchkin?”

“Pizza!”

I make an ugly blah face and shake my head. “Chinese?” I shake my head. “Mexican?” nope. “Thai?” I put on my best seriously face. “Help us out here Calliope,” Arizona sighs.

“I have major heart burn, and everything is making it worse.”

“Babe, I don’t know what to tell you, you have to eat.”

“I know, Addison, tell me I can take something.”

“Just stay away from Alka-Seltzer and baking soda. Tums and Rollaids are okay. Get something with Calcium the extra won’t hurt.”

“There, problem solved. What do you want?”

“Hawaiian Pizza,” I smile and Lucy hi-fives me.

Arizona and Addison both shake their heads. “How do you eat that?”

I shrug, “It’s delicious, right Lucy Bear?”

“Right mommy,” she smiles. “Can we get bread sticks and lava cake?”

“We’ll see,” Arizona say crossing her arms.

Lucy and I both smile and say, “Puhleaseeee?” she caves right away. I still ended up having massive heartburn and throwing up. Let me tell you Hawaiian Pizza is not something nice to throw up. Arizona being the devoted wife she is holds my hair. I’m just glad Lucy is asleep in the other spare room. I don’t like her to see me when I’m sick.

After I feel like I’m done I lay my face on the side on the toilet seat reveling in how cold it is. “Are you okay honey?” Arizona asks.

I nod and give her a small smile, “I just don’t think our kiddo likes me much.”

“That’s impossible,” Arizona says, “your stomach is just weak.”

“I guess so,” I say and she helps me up from my spot next to the toilet. “Do you feel like showering with me?”

Arizona smiles, “Whatever you want babe.”

We shower quickly and she helps me get the puke out of my hair. She dries me off with a big fluffy towel and pushes me in the direction of the bedroom. I pull a pair of sweats on and a t-shirt and wait for her to come to bed.

I wake up the next morning with Arizona wrapped around my backside holding on to me. It makes me smile to know she’s protecting me even when we sleep. I’m a little nervous about this afternoon; I can’t stop thinking that there might be something wrong. I guess every mother to be does the worst-case scenario thing in their head, but I’ve been there. It’s not a place I think I can visit again.

I can’t eat breakfast I’m so nervous, so we go right to the practice to easy my worries. Addison drops Lucy off with Cooper and Arizona and I go right into the first exam room. “Babe, it’s going to be okay,” she says confidently.

“You don’t know that,” I smile weakly.

Addison walks in right then and we stop talking, “Callie please, be optimistic, I know you’ve been disappointed before, but things will be fine, you’ll see.”

“I’m sure you say that to all of your patients Addie.”

“Nope, just the one’s who are my best friend,” she smiles. “So are you ready to know what sex the baby is?” We nod together and Arizona squeezes my hand. She kisses my knuckles as Addison squeezes the gel onto my stomach. I flinch. “Sorry,” she says, “It’s cold.”

I nod, “Yup, got that, thanks.”

“Okay, let’s see,” she turns the machine towards us and starts moving the instrument around my stomach. “There’s the heart beat,” she points to a dark spot on the sonogram. “And I uh, think maybe your three year old was right when she said you were having twins.”

I just stare at Addison, “Please tell me you are kidding?”

She shakes her head, “No I’m not. Fraternal looks like, a boy and girl. Congratulations,” she smiles.

“Oy vey, we’re really going to have our hands full aren’t we?” Arizona laughs.

“Yeah, I’ll say, everything is good. There are no abnormalities or anything that would suggest there is something wrong. Still I want you to take time off from work. You should relax the last month and just take it easy. I know you at work and it’s too stressful for you and the babies. We don’t want to chance anything.”

“That’s a good idea,” Arizona added. “Maybe you and Lucy can start on school stuff and mom I’m sure will be glad to help you.”

“Okay, I’ll call Derek and let him know you are not to set foot in that hospital unless you’re in labor, in which case I will hop a plane and be there very quickly,” Addison smiles.

Just as we were finishing up I saw someone out of the corner of my eye. I recognized him just by Addison’s description of him. It was Noah. “Go, Addie, we’re fine,” I say and nod in that direction. She smiles and offers a silent thank you and they go to her office.

I watch them closely as Arizona helps me clean up. I can barely hear what they are saying, but I know Addison looks deeply upset. It makes me want to go in and ring the guy’s neck. I can tell that he’s given up; he’s not going to leave his wife. And I know Addison is going to be torn to pieces. “I’m done,” he says. “I can’t do this anymore, it isn’t fair to either of us.”

“So you’re just done? Just like that? I don’t matter?” Addison yells.

“I didn’t say that, I just, I can’t keep doing this. I won’t put my child through this. I’m sorry,” he says and tries to hug her.

“Get out,” Addison says and pushes him toward the door. I don’t blame her; I wouldn’t want him to touch me either.

“Damn it,” I sigh. We wait for him to leave before we go in. “I’m sorry Addie,” I say and hug her.

“I should have known better, I knew he wasn’t going to leave her after she had the baby. I should have just listened to my better judgment. Why didn’t I?”

“Because you didn’t want to be right,” Arizona says softly and rubs her back.

Once we get back to the house, Addison retreats to her room. We don’t see or hear from her for the rest of the night. I’m not sure what to do. I know she loved him and I know she’s hurt, but she also knew that he wouldn’t leave. She’s probably blaming herself because she set herself up for hurt this time. It’s got to be hard.

The next morning it’s like nothing happened. She is up and cooking breakfast for Lucy when Arizona and I wake up. “Hey,” she says with a smile.

“Are you okay?” I ask gently.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” she says. “So you’re leaving me later so I took the day off to spend time with you guys before you leave.”

“Cool,” Lucy says with a mouth full of pancake.

“Lu Lu, what did I say about talking with your mouth full?” Arizona chides her.

I really don’t know how Arizona can yell at her sometimes; she’s just so cute. But maybe it’s because she looks like Arizona, so I just hate to be the bad guy because of those damn dimples. I smile and we spend the day talking and playing games with Lucy before we head back to the airport and the dreary weather of Seattle.
