One Year Later...

I went to go watch Crazy for You last night and it was much better than I expected. It was better than Annie Get Your Gun and Dames at Sea, but it still could not compare to Les Miserables or Charlie Brown. Unfortunately, the whole time I was thinking, "what if StarStruck had done this show?" Oh well, but while we are on the subject of High School Spring Musicals...

It is funny how tonight, will be the last high school show the 08 kids will be a part of, the same kids who I saw come in as freshmen and wondered, "who can pull through all four years with the talent spark, AND dedication?" Performing has become a part of me and how life is dull without it. Granted, even though 42nd Street will be my last StarStruck show, I am anxious to go try new things and new performing arenas throughout the bay. In some way or another, a big reason why I came back was not just because of the lack of development of Monterey Bay, but the lack of performing closure I had in Fremont. I ended high school on Dames at Sea, a show I did not particularly care for, and dropping out of Beauty and the Beast, my last show in the Bay Area before moving, did not quite sit well either.( I do not think I will ever be certain about my mindset on Beauty and the Beast because I did need the free time during the summer but I constantly question "what if I would have stayed in the cast?") Just some food for thought.

Cabaret tonight at AMT.

This week is going to be hard because some people are already on break while I still have classes with major assignments due and all I want to do is go and play with them. Dang it.

Come back, Rain!
