"I am made to cry with those who cry, and laugh with those who laugh"
Stole that line from my drama lesson today. It was about what a person felt in response to theatre, but that's not why i used it.
I just thought it sounded nice.
I mean, that's how it supposed to be right? We're supposed to be empathic, and feel for others, and engage...all that jazz.
But what if we don't?
What if we just go around, day after day, wrapped up in our own crap, and not finding the time to help other people with theirs?
I mean, that's how most people are, right? Everyone is selfish. You have to be really, in order to get anywhere.
How do you know when enough is enough? Where is the line?
On the other hand, can you be too selfless? You could say no, but again, where do you draw the line?
For example: A man witnesses someone being attacked. He doesn't know them, and could quite easily have left and called for help. instead he steps in and interrupts...
...Is he a hero? Or and Idiot?
