Dear LJ,
While many gripe at you for your censorship, I have a more pressing gripe. The goddamn RICH TEXT POSTING BOX. One shouldn't put that kind of power in the hands of users. It's like giving a knife to a two year old. Someone is going to get hurt, and it's usually my eyes and sanity.
In case you haven't noticed, people do horrible things like change the color of their text for no damn reason This might not seem bad, until you're smashed in the face with a pile of rainbow puke.
Since their text is obviously the most important text on your friend's page, they'll gladly kick the font size up as high as it goes. WHY SHOULDN'T THEY?
Further, they can now easily add images. And they will. Oh, they will indeed. You know what they won't do though? Add an LJ-Cut! Maybe the lj-cut button isn't colorful enough. Maybe it doesn't "leap out" like this!
Seriously, LJ-ers. I don't have to friend you, but sometimes you post this crap in communities that are usually interesting and informative. I'm an angry old curmudgeon, but still, would it kill you to put some thought into your posts instead of mindlessly clicking buttons like an epileptic squirrel?
