Workin' in the Shim Mine

Sephie, our tiny cat, is a burrowing animal. As I write this, she is folded over in her favorite hiding spot- the slight gap between the dresser and the wall. She loves tiny, tight, enclosed spaces. She explores them, burrows around- it's like a kid playing "cave explorer" with cardboard boxes.

She even loves exploring places she'd never fit, but can get a paw under. For example, she's lately been excavating the space underneath the bathroom sink. Not the cabinet beneath it, the 1/2" gap between the cabinet and the floor. Thus far, she's retrieved: 1 pill of unknown type (labeled "LL84"?), two wooden shims and a whole mess of dust bunnies.

She's been playing with the shims; I think she likes the sound of them skittering across the floor.
