We've been repainting the exterior of our house, and it is almost done. It has been almost done since last fall. It has seemed since then that we could make it rain by being able to paint. We were single-handedly responsible for the easing of the drought earlier this summer by being home, only to selfishly plan things on weekends that made painting unlikely and thus displease the Rain Gods. This weekend is looking promising, though. Soon, we will have it done (knock on wood...)
Anybody who wants to trade paint for food/beer/future return painting (I can only be trusted to slap paint on broad surfaces, but Cecily is a master, and OCD about it to boot) is free to come over Sunday; we'll probably start by noon. Let me know if you're coming so I know how many bribes refreshments to stock.
