Holiday Boredom
Okay, I know it's not a holiday for, well, anyone else in the world. But this is the day my dad's family gets together and celebrates Chanukah. I swear, we're all kinda bored of it by now - it's going through the motions, for everyone, it seems. A bit too much sitting around and talking about nothing for me. I especially like the discussions where no two people are arguing about the same thing. They manage to have rather heated discussions, regardless. And I sit there, shake my head, knit a bit, and get really bored. Oh well.
Grad school applications... grumble grumble.
The highlight of my weekend was definitely visiting a friend who's working as a sailor on a tall ship (sailing ship). Got to see the whole boat - it was pretty cool. It's probably silly of me, but I was rather suprised that they had such mundane things as power outlets.
