Man of Letters

I watched Man of Letters while ushering at UCC last night. Getting to watch shows free is the best part about working there. But of course, there are times when you're stuck at the boring door. Thankfully, I seem to be positioned inside most of the time! Sure, I don't get to sit and I have to keep an eye on things, but being paid $7 an hour to stand and watch a performance is still great!

Though the storyline was utterly predictable, it was sweet and romantic nonetheless. I thought Robin Goh and Emma Yong were fabulous as the leads, Ming and Roseanne. The songs (by Dick Lee) were pretty good and the cast could really sing. I loved the part where the cabaret singer, Mona tries to seduce Ming! Damn funny lah. The final scene was quite touching. So romantic. There was this auntie who said she cried!

Not sure how long this link would work, but here is one of the songs from the show: Dear Roseanne

Very unfortunately, I bumped into Ms Lim last night (aka FAT BITCH) who used to teach at NYJC. She was the one that cheated me into NYJC, promising me that she could transfer me into the science stream as long as I swim for the school. In the end, I got stuck in arts. I'm not saying that she is solely responsible for my 'A' Level flop, but fact is I sucked at history and that was the subject that dragged down my grades. Sadly, I was working and I had to be nice to her (although all I really wanted was to spit in her face). That piece of lard is now teaching at Innova JC and she had the cheek to ask me to stay in touch. Whatever.
