Well That Wasn't Very, Very Nice of You
Watch the sun as it crawls across a final time.
Falling out of touch with all my friends are somewhere getting wasted.
On my way up north,
Bless the weeds that grow in the yard.
When you're high next to me,
I'll sing it one last time for you.
When I was seven, I told my mother:
Through the warmthest cord of care.
He said "I'm gonna buy this place and burn it down".
Today is the greatest day I've ever known.
I'm coming up only to hold you under.
There was a silver tree, down by a river wide,
Soon comes sun, sweet so sweet.
I never loved nobody fully,
Got woken in the night by a mystic golden light.
We are one, we are,
The meadow lark and the chim-choo-ree and the sparrow;
Looking out the door I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners.
Blue now is the colour,
Death is her boyfriend.
