The other heroes he had encountered, while interesting, to be sure, had all been the sort of bull-headed folks who just plowed right into traps and were easily shaken.
Sky High is tenacious. Sky High is fast.
So when the man catches Yuri, strong arms wrapped around his waist, and they rocket heavenward, Yuri doesn't know what to do, at first. He's disdainful of the Heroes, sure. He doesn't think much of them or what they do. (Fill up prisons without solving crimes. Impede the judicial branch of the government. Turn what ought to be a government regulated job into a sideshow spectacle.)
Maybe he would have done well to figure out why Sky High is called the King of Heroes.
As they're soaring up, up, straight up as if they will touch the very stars, that oddly familiar voice (so often blared on so many televisions) speaks to him, softly, urgently, intently, earnestly.
"I don't know why you have attacked us again, but I must insist-- do not harm others any longer! You cannot accomplish peace by murdering, even if you are murdering murderers!"
He has no patience for this. He's about to summon a flame lance and plunge it through the bastard's chest when he realizes two very important things.
One: They are so high up that there is not enough oxygen for his power to turn into fire. The flames lick his wrists and die.
Two: His helmet does not feed into a reservoir of oxygen. Or anything.
All of Yuri's witticisms start to freeze over, his thoughts much sharper now. I could die up here.
He gasps.
And Sky High sighs, stopping right where they are. There is a tiny bit of oxygen, enough that Yuri manages to fill his lungs if he pants desperately, if he clings to Sky High with shaking, oxygen-starved hands and trembles, resting his head against the other man's shoulders.
"Will you consider what I'm saying?" Sky High inquires, and his voice has the bizarre innocent stupidity of a hopeful puppy. It makes no sense. He's got Yuri so high up that to let go would mean death, and even if he doesn't drop Yuri, the air's too thin for those who aren't prepared.
Drawing a ragged breath, he tries to answer. "You're-- nothing but-- a bully," he grumbles.
Sky High actually winces back, seemingly hurt by the very idea. "I?"
"You can-- survive up here, but--"
Understanding seems to bring immediate guilt, as Sky High clutches Yuri tighter and they begin sinking back down. It becomes easier to breathe, slowly, slowly, and his mind spins under the sparkling cornucopia of stars that is the night sky above them. Yuri wonders why his body still feels weak and concludes it must be the adrenaline rush that's left his body behind now, left him numb and still clinging to Sky High very snugly, almost-- almost embracing him.
"I'm sorry," Sky High murmurs, when they are drifting only a few meters above the surface of a lake and Yuri's mind is racing for an escape plan. "I only hoped you might reconsider what you've done. I- I know you must have been hurt very badly, to be so angry."
Yuri snorts derisively. "You know nothing."

"Not everyone," Yuri hisses back, grinding his knee against Sky High's crotch, thinking to put enough force into it to make the man flinch and drop him, now that it's relatively safe. "Not everyone deserves second chances."
What's weird is, Sky High groans, but not in pain. He squeezes Yuri tighter, and now his helmeted head is resting on Yuri's shoulder. He can't speak, just groans again when Yuri tries to press harder.
Fuck.
He shoves and pushes at the other man, but it seems like his hands just slide teasingly over his chest, tracing the smooth lines of muscle beneath the suit. Sky High seems to have no trouble maintaining altitude, but he can't seem to move, either, trembling and moaning with pleasure as Yuri struggles to free himself without-- without unnecessarily harming the man.
With an angry sigh, Yuri pushes against that helmeted head, trying to force it off of his shoulder. His fingers happen to hit the catches for the helmet instead of the faceplate, and before you can say justice is blind, Yuri is looking at a beautiful, confused, slightly embarrassed blond man.
"Oh--" and now worry furrows those soft blond brows, though really wouldn't fear be a more appropriate reaction? "I-- please don't struggle, so, it's very distracting and-- and distracting."
So Yuri struggles, watching this strange man's face twist into a blissful expression when Yuri's knee grinds into his crotch, until quite suddenly, Sky High comes with a whimper.
And, boneless, begins to drop through the sky to the sea, only now finally releasing Yuri. They hit the waves with a splash, and it would be better to leave him to drown, the irritant, but.
But.
Yuri is no murderer.
He drags Sky High to the shore before making his escape.

Words fail me, so please just... asdfghjkl. Everything about this is absolutely incredible, but the first part was probably one of the most amazing things ever, just the way he couldn't breath, and... oh. I have no words. I love this fill so so much!
