Fanart - Felix and Mildmay
I actually finished this a few weeks ago- posted it other places, but hadn't posted it here yet. It's the second Melusine fanart I drew. It took a heck of a lot of cleaning up in the lineart stage before I liked it enough to color. (Select and drag is my friend! I LOVE being able to move features around and even rotate the suckers. Due to this Mildmay's "green funk" expression was much improved. Felix's too, although there's still something screwy about his eyes, which I can see if I horizontally flip the image. Eventually I gave up on that, figuring his eyes are supposed to be skewy and a bit troubling, though he's not mad in this pic.)

In other news, on a whim I've started watching Berserk. (I guess that little boy fairy was still flying around in my head from the two or three manga volumes I read while I was in Japan. Sadly though, the anime is set some years earlier and the fairy ain't in it. Darn.)
I'll say this: for a pretty ugly guy in a really ugly world, Gatts' theme music is hella beautiful.
It's placed well too. That scene at the end of ep 02 is what decided me on watching the rest of the show. And I even like the heavy metal bagpipes in the battle music.
