Busy day

Nov 14, 2006 07:36

Today will be pretty busy - I have to speak to a group of High School Seniors this morning at a career day about how to prepare for and go through a job interview. I think I have 50 minutes and there will be about 60 kids.

Then I have a conference call at 2:30 and after that I need to get my leaves shredded and put in my vegetable garden so they can rot over the winter and make good soil for next spring's planting.

I put up a fence (12' X 12' X 6' high) around a spot next to our current concrete patio and dumped about 25 wheel-barrow loads of gravel into it. Once that is leveled, I will build a small deck and we will put the hot-tub outside. We'll use the room the hot tub is currently in for exercise equipment and Susan will be able to park in the garage this winter in the space currently occupied by said exercise equipment.

I need to get the leaves DONE by tomorrow afternoon because the weather here is supposed to turn to crap.

Then we need to finalize plans for Thanksgiving - I sure wish we could drive to Milwaukee for the weekend, but we'll see Sarah and Jen at Christmas.

Gotta go make my high-tech flip chart for my presentation today - I'll post tomorrow with a new topic or belief of mine. I like this LJ posting of beliefs and ideas - having to put by thinking into written words makes me think more about them so that I can put them into words. For those of you who read this, if there are topics of discussion you'd like to propose, please feel free to do so. And I apologize if my statements seem too firm or harsh. I am learning a LOT from this experience and I thank you all for your input!
