OK, here's the next topic for discussion - abortion.
I believe that in 99% of the cases, abortion is wrong and that Roe vs. Wade needs to be overturned.
I believe that life begins at conception and to end that life artificially is just plain wrong. In cases of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is in jeopardy if the pregnancy continues, I reluctantly see the benefit or need for an abortion.
I believe firmly in a woman's right to choose - to choose to behave responsibly. This right to choose also extends to her partner in the conception. It is just not right to end a pregnancy - ie. kill the baby - because it is inconvenient or the result of bad judgment. What a terrible price for that baby to pay for the irresponsible behavior of 'adults'.
I also believe that while abortion remains legal, doctors and clinics who perform abortions need to be protected from nut jobs who would do them harm.
