(no subject)
Jeez, it's been a couple of weeks since I posted here - much has been going on.
Susan and I took the trailer to Watkins Glen NY for her birthday weekend (actually Saturday thru Tuesday). We hiked the gorge, saw the Corning Museum of Glass, made our own sun-catchers while we were there and generally chilled.
The leaves are turning in NY and the air definitely has a nip to it.
We ordered a new storage building for the backyard - it'll be here in a couple of weeks. I have to level the site and put 4 inches of gravel on it - about 4 tons. I need a permit to put the new one up AND a permit to demolish the old one. I'll get those next week.
I also need to order fencing and decking material so we can put the hot tub outside. I'll do that next week too.
I was in DC yesterday for a meeting (left home at 5:30 a.m. got back at 8:30 p.m. - long day. While there, I spoke with someone who may have had even more interesting employment news for me - a company he knows of just landed a pretty big contract with the agency I contract with and is looking for qualified people. He gave them my number - we'll see what happens.
I am THRILLED for Sarah and her new employment opportunity - I'm going to start calling her at 6:00 a.m. her time to get her used to rising early to go to work like the rest of the world (LOL)!!!
I accidentally washed my wallet a few days back - contents are ok but the wallet (a Christmas present from my son) is trashed - I need to get a new one.
That's about all for now - I'll try to be more diligent and post more frequently - and with topics that are more than general goings-on.
