The above link isn’t active, but keep watching that space! Alan Rankin wasn’t at Staple!, but Rick was selling his mini “Little Known Superheroes” for him at his table. This mini was published in 2003 and contains work by Rick Bradford, Mary Copeland, Amber Rollins, Lori Thomson, Lisha Willeng and even Alan Rankin! As per Alan’s intro: “Hey!” I said to myself one day, startling the other people in the elevator, “Why don’t I create a comic that introduces readers to heroes they might have missed?” Very cool little mini!

Chris is an artist who has lived in San Antonio for awhile. He does zines of the lives and loves (some forbidden) of various species. He had zines and framed original art of birds and fantasy in pen and ink. Vicki likes his fine line ink art. He’s a nice guy with a quirky sense of humor we like.
