Just rewatched this ep on BBC3, and it still makes me cry...

This episode was guest written by Richard Curtis. The Vincent in the title is Vincent Van Gough (series 5). You could easily watch in on it's own, there one little referance to an ongoing plot thread but if you didn't know that it wouldn't spoil the episode in any way.

But then if you wanted to watch the series it would be worth rewatching this one in it's proper place. You know, if you wanted to. Which you wouldn't, because your not getting into Doctor Who.

You know what? Neil Gamain wrote an episode called The Doctor's Wife (series 6) which I think you'd like too.

Oh God, that episode! I love it to bits, because it is beautiful and sad and REAL in a way that even Doctor Who seldom is. Yes, even though it involves an invisible space monster.
