Ficlet - Coping Strategies
'Ficlet' is a rather grand title for 209 words but... *shrug*

Summary - The ways they cope...
There’s only three of them now. Which means two in the field and one to stay on the computers at the Hub. Gwen drew up a rota, because immortal or not Jack has to take his fair share of hub-sitting.
They all hate it. Staying behind in relative safety while the other two are in danger. They all have different ways to cope, things to do to keep their mind from imagining terrible situations that the others could be in.
Ianto cleans. He tidies and files. A place for everything, and everything in its place. Because that’s something he can do, something he can control.
Gwen has a file of missing persons in Cardiff. She cross references the dates of the disappearances with negative rift spikes. She maybe the only person who’ll ever know what happened to them, but at least it’ll be recorded somewhere.
Jack is a terror when he’s left behind. He messes with Gwen’s missing person research, and he deliberately mixes up the ‘J’ and ‘I’ sections of the archives. Gwen says he’s not getting out of hub-sitting that easily.
Ianto suspects that’s not the reason Jack does it. Jack is making sure they have to come back alive, if only to sort out the mess.
