So I got back from my first day at my fifth job in two and a half years. (Oh the joys of being in college.) The city, frankly, scares me. One of my fellow interns is a local, and I asked him if there are any parts of the city that it would make sense to avoid. His answer, while describing a great deal of geography that I couldn't make heads or tails of, boils down to: "yes, lots."
The job itself, on the other hand, is great. I share an office with one other intern (well maybe it's an old converted microscopy room painted black with no windows, but I'm gonna call it an office). About one o'clock a guy came by to set up our phones. We each have our own own phone number and fax number, and all voicemail messages are displayed on both the phone and forwarded to my work e-mail account. The phones can even look up people in the staff directory. And my fax number is ***-***-1337. Which translates from gamer as 1337=LEET=elite="I am better than you, so haha", in order of increased translation.
