i've gotta get myself one of these machines that i'm using to type this entry now! it's a DELL mini pc with 3.2GHZ processor and 1Gb RAM! not to mention the LARGE and BRIGHT 17-inch LCD screen! dammit! this place has better computers than my office! I want one too....*whines*
Drove down to pick up Hubby from his discussion. I didn't wait for Hubby to call cause I wanted to arrive here early. who knew that he is STILL at discussing and I have to find a computer to while away my time. have internet connection, will travel! but i have to admit, it's such a joy to use the computers here. it feels so much better than my PC at work! i think if i had a PC like this, i wouldn't mind staying longer at the office!! plus the internet connection is SO FAST here *rave rave*
this week, our RC evaluated 3 different event companies for our D&D. the first company was not too bad. the main sales guy (who Mrs Darcy commented looked gay) kept throwing us lots of new ideas. we felt the second company was quite pushy and had rather old/boring ideas. we initially didn't want to ask the 3rd company to come down (their price was quite high), but the accounts manager was so nice about it (and rather persuasive) that we did. I have to admit that I liked the 3rd events company immensely. the person who was presenting gave lots and lots of creative ideas and kept spewing themes. although some of the themes sounded quite boring, she managed to hype it up and make it sound fantastic and exciting! i thought her enthusiasm was very infectious and she was very approachable. As I mentioned to Clem yesterday, her company might give us some pleasant surprises. and i have to admit that she did. it may have been the fact that it was an all-girl audience today or the fact that she was so easygoing. if i were to pick (and the price was right) i'd definitely pick the last company.
