of alpha weekend, recent work development rantings and baby news
Last weekend was Alpha weekend away at Sofitel. I have to say that it was quite fulfilling with several disappointments and interesting things that i've not seen before. The couple whom I hoped would receive Jesus during the weekend, didn't. Which only goes to show that it's all inn God's timing and we can only sow the seeds within them and watch God work. It was also the first time I have seen so many people being "slain" during the Holy Spirit ministry. Even Hubby was downed when he went to receive healing for his migraine, which miraculously disappeared. It was a good faith restoring experience with lots of food, fellowship and knitting! It was all too tiring tho and both Hubby and I crashed once we reached home.
As I was away on training for the most part of last week, today was my first time back in office in a long long time. Interestingly, I think that I'll actually start blogging more regularly now as the initial wave of busyness has subsided and everything has gone into mind-numbingly-boring-day-passing-me-by mode. Sadly, due to the recent manpower changes, there might be yet another reorg in my division, meaning I might actually be under a new boss. I don't want to get kicked around again for another year for the simple reason that I'll lose my opportunity for promotion to a higher salary grade again. That just plain sucks. I don't like to be slogging my guts out, only to have myself appraised by someone who has just gotten to know me and won't promote me over the rest of the guys in the team who've been there longer.
Plus, with my maternity leave and all, that just means that my chances for promotion are probably slimmer than i'll ever get after giving birth. Hopefully by my next gynae appointment we'll be able to know the sex of Baby and then I can start buying pink or blue rompers and stuff. :D
