So far I'm not so impressed with the new "Google Rival" search engine cuil.com. It is not hard at all to give it quite reasonable queries for which it returns no results at all, suggesting I've made a typo or that I've put in too many search terms. "2007 oscar for best director" is one such search.
Interestingly, removing the word "for" from that search returns several relevant results ("for" isn't a stop word??!). Although even then the accompanying "explore by category" box does not offer me anything about the Academy Awards.
They've got a lot of work to do, I think.
