I hath discovered a new webcomic:
Partially Clips. It takes some getting used to, but once you're into that groove, it's quite a riot. Also syndicated, for your LiveJournal friends' page viewing pleasure:
pc_comics. (That one's with the artists comments below it; if anyone's interested in a feed without the commentary, I'll set that up too.)
Oma's 85th birthday party yesterday, birthday dinner today. I'm so very happy that
ladylime49 is back home from her road trip; family gatherings just sucked without her. Not that we had a lot of 'em the past 3 months but, you know, it seemed like an eternity that she was gone.
Chicken shepherd's pie at the Swiss Chalet is my new favourite restaurant meal. The cheesy, mashed potatoey, corny, chickeny goodness....mmmmm.... *drools just thinking about it*
I do not like being so far away from my hubby that I can't poke him repeatedly just for the fun of it, or check whether his phone's on, or give him a back rub to make him feel better. That last one, mostly. Sooooon.
Work sucks. Afternoons are the worst, I go downhill pretty fast.
I'm giving the doctor tomorrow morning to call me, if I don't hear anything by noon I'm calling him until I actually get to talk to him and find out what's up with the ultrasound. That's only fair, I should think.
The people next door are doing really bad Chinese karaoke. Loudly. I thought I'd left that behind when I moved out of the Kingsway apartment...apparently not. It seems they don't realize it's eleven pm and some people would like to sleep. I'll pay them a visit if it's still going on at midnight.
Mambo just tried to stretch out on my desk while I was typing ~ he's already too big for that to work. Wow, he grew fast.
Nectarines look bloody in the middle. That's seriously scary when you're watching CSI and not expecting to find blood in the centre of your delicious fruit.
Last night's Six Feet Under was so totally awesome. Just three or four episodes left in the series, and it's going fantastically by way of fan response. Normally I don't care for shows that are still in production for just this reason ~ I can't stand the wait. But you know what? This one's entirely worth the wait. Even if the funeral home gets bombed at the end and everybody dies or something, it'll still be worth it. You know what though? So long as it's longer than normal, written and directed by Alan Ball, and addresses all the characters, and doesn't get overly sappy (like them all moving away separately or something) I'll leave satisfied. (Let's watch me eat my words later when I'm extremely disappointed with the ending....)
And that's my stream-of-consciousness thinking for the last two days.
