Kitty Post: Tangible remains
We picked up the ashes today.
This is the first time I've ever actually wanted to keep the ashes of a pet...but then, she wasn't your average cat. That, and I didn't really get to say goodbye, so I guess this gives me the chance to face what's physically left of her and put her to rest.
There's so little. I didn't expect a hefty bundle or anything, but what's there is about the size of a baseball and weighs less than Mambo.
Not quite sure what I'm going to do with them. I'd like to put some underneath the Japanese maple in the front yard, where she liked to chill out. I'd like to sprinkle just a little on the curb outside the house, because she always walked along it. And I'm definitely going to keep some, but I'm still figuring out what to put it in.
Gah, I miss her.
