.......You know, combining this with that "radical ideas were foreign to Charity Burbage" line, it makes me think that Robst wants the books to go on exactly the same, except with no Weasleys.

Perhaps, but the writing implies he wants to actively stop any ripple effects from happening, and imply that canon happened solely because of SCBE's actions.
Which also implies that he wants to murder Lupin and Tonks the instant their kid is born.
Or at least that canon this time round did. I think we're supposed to take the Shit Wizard Incident as happening right after the end of Deathly Hallows.
But I'm talking about how SCBE might be planning to kill Lupin and Tonks in the same way as Percy as one last mad precaution to obtain Teddy. And then he'll decide to let Voldemort live through everything until the body count from canon has been racked up and both Hogwarts and the Ministry are demolished.
Now you mention it, that wouldn't even surprise me. Lord Potter really does live up to the SCBE label there: it's obvious that new!Teddy is only going to exist to fix Lord Potter's guilt over original!Teddy. Not for his own sake, or even his parents, but for the sainted Lord Potter. (Insert my usual rant about how new!Teddy can't be considered remotely the same person as original!Teddy here.)
