It's almost GALLY TIEM!!!
I leave for Gallifrey One in LA early Thursday morning, which puts me in LA at about 1:00pm. I am super excited, especially since I am so tired of snow and ice and cold. I know it's supposed to be rainy and cool in LA this weekend, but that's tropical compared to the weather here.
I can't wait to get there. I had a really great time last year, and from the website, it's clear that they have a lot of really great stuff planned.There are a lot of things I really want to see. I will try to excercise restraint in the dealer's room, ha ha HA as if. I will try not to buy so many books, though, as they are heavy and hard to pack. Seriously, I am surprised I managed to get my suitcase on the plane as carry-on, because that thing was HEAVY.
I have a new camera, and I will be taking many, many pictures, which I will post here.
After I get back from Gally, John and I are going to get the ball rolling on getting our new computer. One of the reasons my posting has been so sporadic lately is that our computer is starting to give up the ghost. It's incredibly slow, and sites like LiveJournal and Tumblr tend to freeze it or crash it. If I plug in my iPhone I can pretty much count on a five-minute stall, and it doesn't recognize my camera. And woe betide anyone who should try to run two programs at once! Internet AND iTunes? Don't be redonkulous!
Anyway, we want one of these. We're planning on re-doing the computer room as well, and making it an office/guest room/media room. We plan on putting in a sofa-bed, and I have bought shelves to put my ever-growing collection of Doctor Who action figures on. And we are going to paint. The room is currently a dark blue, which seemed great in theory but makes the room gloomy in practice. I am thinking of something fresh and light, but I am not sure what yet. I may just go with white. I have no idea yet.
