Drunken Monopoly Rules

Jan 15, 2004 13:57

Ok, so background on this quickly bc I am currently in the middle of running around like a chicken with my head cut off: Liz and were out last night and decided that we need to make rules to play Monopoly with as a dirnking game. So, I came up with the following last night. Please fell free to give your suggestiosn on any changes that should be made, and they will be read and ignored. JK, I would love your input so we can make it as fun as possible. It is, however not for the weak of stomach since you pretty much have to drink at least every turn. Here goes:

When you buy a propert you may direct 1 person of your choice to drink.
When you land on someone else's property you must drink.
When you land on someone else's property with a house you must drink 1 for landing on their property then 1 more for every cottage on that space.
When you land on someone else's property with a hotel you must roll the dice then drink amount shown.
Free Parking is a social.
When in jail you must drink continuosuly until your next turn; if you do not throw doubles, use a Get Out of Jail Free card, or pay $50 that time you do not keep on drinking, just the first round you are in there.
When visiting jail, if someone is inside they must dirnk.
With the cards, if you get money you may direct 1 player to drink.
With the cards, if you have to pay money you must take a drink.
If a card directs you to a space on the board which is already owned you must drink 2x what you normally would on that space.
If a card directs you to a space on the board which is not already owned you may direct 1 other person to drink.
Before buying one of the 2 dark blue properties (Boardwalk and Park Place) you must first drink 1/2 of whatever you have in you glass at that time, but it must be at least 1/3-1/4 full.
If you own all of a given set of properties (Railroads and Utilities count) you have the 'asshole thumb rule' priviledge and may implement it at any time.
When you land on a tax paying space you must drink 1. You may choose to chug the remainder of your drink in order to not have to pay, but it must be at least 1/3-1/4 full.
When you pass Go you must drink before collecting your $200.
When barganing for properties an offer of not having to drink on a certain property or drinking for another player for x amount of turns in completely acceptable, and even encouraged.
Winner gives out 1 drink for every $100 that they have.
Loosers drink whatever winner may have given them plus 1 for every property, 1 per house, and 1 per hotel.

There are a lot to remember, I know.. but don't fret I'll make a nice copy to hang in the suite room for easy reference.
Peace,
Aimee
P.S. I think the fact that I actually took the time to do this officially makes me an alcoholic...
