Hweywheyy! Avenged Sevenfold Concert ended a week ago!

A bit of hate here and there but wholly, it was awesome!

A flashback of 24th October 2008:

The first thing I had to do is go to school. Dragging my way there, I wasn’t looking forward to school, as usual. Therefore, my a7x excitement level was only 5%. TGIF; Classes always end early. I had my quick breakfast, a dollar worth of wedges and 2 nuggs which I bought at 30 cents each. And that have to last me until end of the concert. Why? Well, I thought I would be early if I stepped out from my house at 1500hrs but no… I went to Max Pavilion with Atikah, Juli and Ishak and meet the rest there. On the way, trains were overflowing with many souls wearing a7x tees and more. And I think 20 or 30 of them wore the same shirt as me, only difference, I had Syn’s nick as a badge on my top. The feeling of it is like; all a7x fans come mutually and just wanna rock the world. Nice sensation I would say. ^^

We reached there at 0400 hours plus and what the fuck, the queue is bloody long. But I’m fairly blessed that my other friends were there earlier so we went to the front, for a jiffy. I have no idea who is tagging along so I quite know only when I saw. There’s Hyrude, Nizam, Alham, Kar Wah, Akmal, Haizat. (Those that I know of.) Okay, the line was long and the weather was hot and I was famished, and then there was a brawl, a bit of fist fight. I was pissed off cause everyone came here to enjoy, not wrestle. CISCO came and the battle only lasted for 10 minutes. While waiting, we can all perceive sounds of the drums and guitars in tuning. My excitement level shot to a thousand percent!!! After minutes of sitting, everyone stand up to properly queue for it. And it was definitely cramped. Yes, worst than the feeling of packed like sardines in a can in the train. Sweats were filling the place. Ghastly! But we all tried to keep that away from us by singing songs. Started of, couple of song by a7x; Almost Easy, A Lil Piece of Heaven, M.I.A, Critical Acclaim, Seize the Day, Bat Country and more. Added, few of the utterly funny songs/anthem that you can ever hear before a concert. Like…? Majulah Singapura, The Pledge, Hari Raya Song and also Christmas Carols. That was hilarious. But as time passed, many were already drained and complained lots. I understand, cause we are all suffering by squeezing for like 3 hours.

At around 8 plus, we are allowed to enter. After lots of squish and squish, I got inside Max Pavilion. Then, we got to lighten up for 2 minutes while waiting for others to enter. Many white guys came to and one of ‘em were behind me. He said that he’s too short and can’t see a thing. I ridiculously turned and said, “Wanna compare with me?” We laughed and he started apologizing. I wasn’t fuming so I said its okay. Then I heard the other guy saying that he only know 3 songs by them and don’t know why the hell he’s here. ^^ Oh well. We weren’t in the front but mosh to the front went the Opening Act was performing and managed to be at around the 3rd centre row. After minutes of waiting, M. Shadow entered! My heart went doki doki and was on the brink of fainting. And continuously, Synyster Gates, Zacky Vengeance, The Rev and Johnny Christ appeared.

Double my doki-ness, I was energized. I took only two to three videos, cause I wanted to enjoy the concert. With moshing, as expected, there were many falls and kicks. I got separated from Atikah but weren’t looking for her cause we sure will enjoy it individually. I don’t remember the sequence of the songs that they performed but I know, they did; Afterlife, Almost Easy, Critical Acclaim, Seize the Day, Beast and the Harlot, Bat Country, Dear God, Gunslinger, Scream, Guitar Solos and one of unheard song sang by Zacky V, which is very reggae-ish. M. Shadow said that their tix sold more than Kanya West, so does that mean Rock is better than Hip-Hop? All went, “Hell Yeah!!!” The hottest guy was definitely Syn! His guitar skills are awe-inspiring and he made all the fans go crazy. Especially me!

I was moshing too hard that my bag strap actually broke and fell. It contained my wallet, cell and PSP! I was like, “Don’t you dare step on it!” Luckily, I was on time to grab it and continue the “joyous occasion”. As they performed the few last song I was quite at the back where fans were just standing and enjoying. I was enjoying too but were much hardcore than them. A bit spacious at the back, they were unconsciously creating a small circle, with me in the middle. Without caring about others, I jumped up and down and head banged all alone. How? If you watched Gazette’s concert, I’m akin to their fans. Round and around I go. Then, it ends… Not. We fans screamed, “We want more, we want more!”

And lights were on once again for one more song, A Lil Piece of Heaven! As usual, we all sang along. Encore only lasted for 8 minutes but I enjoy every second of it. “See you next time!” The last thing M. Shadow said. Max Pavilion was brightening up once again and people were heading outside. Fuck, the left of my contact lens fell off, (I don’t know when) so I can’t quite see. A heard person calling my name and it was my friends (Although part of my wish was that it was Syn and he would say, “Hunneh, you dropped your lens.”) My aunt picked me up from there and went to Bedok Corner to eat. Saw a7x fans too and all were chatting about the concert.

It was the moment that I’ve been waiting for and would never forget it. Not once!

Please come once more. ((:

A day of my lifetime means a week of payne.

Body ache and who cares.

I saw ‘em!
