I was a scientist tasked with heading research and development at the... company I worked for. All I did was excel at my job and surpass my peers in the scientific community. [Except he's a terrorist, SOOOO...] I don't think that validates my confinement here.

You were placed here because you merely worked efficiently? [Sounds like another misjudgment on the Admiral's end, provided he's being told the whole story here.] That doesn't quite seem comparable to murder, which, as I've been told, is the most common indication of Inmate status.

Yes. Or because I didn't question my work, I suppose.

I never murdered anybody until I came here. [Except he totally had test subjects die like all the time. But that's just splitting hairs, clearly.] The Barge makes people worse.

What about your work needed to be questioned?

[Oh, clearly.] I'm not surprised to hear that. [As CLU already has a person or two he'd like to harm, and it's barely been a few months.] The environment on this ship does not promote a peaceful existence.

Whether it was "good" or not? But science is inherently neutral; assigning a moral value to it is a waste of time. It's all relative-- frankly, arbitrary. Just like the standards that bring people here.

You took away people's free will.

Some people would rather die.

I did that on the Barge. You don't know what I've done at home. Any test subject I had was a willing recruit.

Did you do it at home?

[He somehow manages to say this without anger - just a very intense, sunken-eyed stare like he's trying to see into Rex's head and find the honesty.]

As I said: all test subjects were willing recruits.

[Except for Duke, BUT WHATEVER, HE NEVER GOT TO INJECT HIM. Oh and there's Ana, but that got retconned in the game, so...]

I hope you're telling the truth.

Ah, yes. Would you consider your work beneficial to others in any way? [And since he sees the first two posts between him and Arthas:] What did it involve?
