Why not?

During the past months ladywaterlily and I have been scouting the apartment market for a potential place to buy, as living in a 42 square meter rented place really doesn't strike either of our fancy anymore. (Plus we can actually afford it now that Maria is working). A while back we found a decent apartment on offer in Itä-Pasila (my old 'hood :D) at ( Read more... )

You know, i kinda like "ugly" high-rise buildings, I've lived in one all my life so, maybe that's not so weird. Or maybe everyone else wants to live in some red little cottage somewhere with garden and apple trees but that's not really want I would like^^ oh, but I live middle of nowhere, so the only thing feeling urban is ugly apartmentxD But I'm sure it's nice for you to own your place now^^ Not so much worries anymore, good. And that looks very much like a nice flat, and if the library is close, it's perfect.

Oh, I forgot Musta säde in my list! It's actually quite nice album, although when I firsst read I thought it was too weird, as an idea and everyway other too. But, oh well, it entertained me. it's fun that you've found Spirou and Fantasio again, next time I buy some new comics I'll buy Valerian then^^

I've stumbled into surprisingly many people who like 70s concrete architecture. Undoubtedly we're a minority, but not as much of a minority as the "public opinion" lets us believe (at least in Finland, that is). And certainly there are plenty of people out there who don't want to live in Matti Vanhanen's dream of a red cottage in the middle of nowhere (pardon the politics). Personally I can't imagine living in anything else than an apartment building. My wife's parents live in a single-familty house and IMHO their place is completely rubbish. It's nice for a (big) cottage, but give me an apartment over that any day ( ... )
