Personality: Ramza is what one would call the quintessential hero. He's very kind, self-sacrificing, and will lay down the line for whatever he believes is right, even if he doesn't get credit for it in the end. Polite, and well-meaning, Ramza sometimes doesn't always get when someone is using him or taking advantage of him, but will always stand up for others whenever he thinks they are being wronged or treated badly. He's respectful, but very naive and doesn't always think things through (unlike his best friend Delita, who is much more calculating than he is). He's one of those noblemen who doesn't look at his rank as anything truly meaningful...rather, your merits are what count. He is also hard working, and will not for a moment consider being lazy...though sometimes he's a bit too uptight, and perhaps needs to learn to lighten up (though there has been evidence that he's a bit of a busybody, or perhaps likes to help too much...Mustadio Bunanza of Goug can attest to this).
Background: Ramza is the youngest son of the prestigious Beoulve family, which is well-known all throughout Syruici as a family of great warriors and knights. He and his sister Alma are of a different mother than his already well-known brothers Dycedarg and Zalbag, and he feels a little bit underconfident because of this. When he was 12, his father Balbanes, A Saber Knight in the Servants, died of a strange illness. Shortly afterwards, Ramza was sent to the Gariland Military Academy with his longtime friend Delita Hyral, and the two of them trained hard in school, becoming two of the highest-ranked students in their class.
Ramza, unlike his brothers, was also known for traveling throughout Syriuci during vacations, so had also gone to various places like Goug and Eryma. He had been to Azanus several times as well as a little boy, and rather liked the place and had wanted to live there instead of home in his hometown, Igros, with his brothers and sister. When he graduated from school, he had decided, along with Delita, to go to Azanus to try to go for Higher education in Syriuci's military academy. Both of them accepted, Ramza journeyed with his good friend to Azanus to try to eke out his own niche for himself in the world. Even if he was the 'worst' of the Beoulve brothers, there had to be something he could do...right?
