I'm housesitting for a little pug named Filis right now. There are some neighborhood stray cats that swing by the house on their daily rounds, and I've named one of them OrangeCat. He's a big, fluffy tomcat with an insatiable need for love. He cries at the back door if I'm not outside when he swings by the house. If I crouch down, he'll come running, put his paws on my knee, and try to headbutt me.
Filis tolerates his presence, barely. They're usually ok for a few minutes, and then she'll start making feints at him. This is a rare moment of cooperation - they're both intent on getting to me for lovies before the other one. Few things are more amusing than a pint size pug and a tomcat squaring off against each other.
