I went, I saw, I heard...I only knew one other person in the building but I have finally actually gotten to see the Residents play! I would so do it again but they are talking like this will probably be the last set of touring dates.
The band is talking about calling it a day b/c they are getting old and one member has already retired. The Residents now consist of 3 men not 4. They will never replace a band member b/c anyone else might not feel as compelled to keep their real identities private as the original members do. So as they put it' inevitably...it would have to end sometime...the Residents would not work with only 2...much less only one".
Ahh for the music goodness!...and next week...Flogging Molly! That should make me feel a little less whinny about the fact that Trans Siberian Orchestra is doing an intimate settings tour of "Bethoven's Last Night" but, not within less than a 5 1/2 hour drive from Memphis
