Asking
Sigh. Well, I had thought that my ex would be able to take care of Eliza (see LJ icon for cuteness) over the Christmas break while I'm in Texas, but that is not to be. So, I thought I'd draw on the combined wisdom of my LJ dearies to see if anyone had any advice about flying with a dog. She's 12 pounds, so I believe that it'll be no problem to take her as my "carry on" in a bag made to carry dogs. But does anyone have any advice on sedating dogs? She's really high strung, so I'm a bit afraid of her anxiety level if I don't tranquilize her.
And yes, I'm going to speak to her vet about this, and I've also started gathering information about the airline's pet transporting policies.
On the bright side, my parents love having her around, and this may mean that I'll wake up on Christmas morning with my bestest pal! But I am nervous about flying with her ... any and all advice will be greatly appreciated!
