Exotica
Exotica was a 1994 Cannes success, and it's yet another of those Bruce Greenwood movies that I start watching for Bruce, and end up completely hooked by the movie.
It slowly unravels until the whole underlying tragedies and wounds of the characters come to light. The mood is erotic, sad, strange, melancholic, intense and... sad. I'd compare it with the emotional impact of "The Sweet Hereafter", though I'd very likely rewatch "Exotica" while TSH was too sad for me *grabs tissues just thinking of it*
I've got to say, Bruce makes me watch more independent, art-sy movies than any other Trek actor did, so kudos to him :)
