*flails* I love this series to itty bitty pieces, but you just made me epically sad. Poor poor Chris. But yay!! They are back!!
And he gets his month with Bones!! Super yay!!
I'm going to go back to the very first fic, and then re-read this installment.
So very very good, but also so very emotionally wrenching.

First of all, I'm so happy to hear you love this series! ♥

Then, I hadn't quite realized how gut-wrenching the story turned out for the readers because my head is already 1.5 installments ahead and I know Pike and his tribe will manage everything which will get thrown at them. OTOH, I do my best to stir up the shit a little all the time *guilty as charged* :)

Thanks so much for your feedback and enjoy the series on the re-read! *hugs***

The whole series in one go? That's quite a feat! :) I'm so happy to hear that you love it.

I'm writing on the sequel already, and there will be around 3 more installments (I guess). Just will take a while :))

Wow, I feel like I've been through the wringer after that! Pike being locked away inside himself, declining all visitors and switching doctors, had me biting my nails. I'm so glad Dael was able to bring him back. You wrote that part really well though, the sort of dream-state Pike was in. I couldn't blame him for wanting to hide there after all he'd been through.

I was almost relieved that Pike was going to leave Starfleet since it had turned into such a miserable experience for him, but I suppose I'll hope that things will get better for him at this point. If I were him, I'd be retiring to a farm right about now, LOL.

Another amazing installment. :-)

I'm almost a little sorry about the wringer. Since I wrote on this part for ages and have half-drafted the next installments already, I know they'll manage everything that gets thrown at them. So the level of gut-wrenching in this installment almost escaped me a little.

I agree - I'd retire to the farm too, but we'll see how Pike and his tribe will handle the future :)

Glad you liked the dreamy atmosphere. Originally, I had a scene much like in other Draws parts here, where he kind of bounces back - but Pike resisted and made me throw out 20K in exchange of this part 9, claiming he needs a break :) Toppy bastard.

Thanks so much for your feedback! ♥

I've been reading, but I'm not yet ready to comment; I'm a little overwhelmed.

Can I just say this final section would have me bawling like a baby if I wasn't at work for the utter relief that Len is back in Chris's life?

I will comment, on each section. Just...in a little while.

*hugs you hard* We're all happy that Len is back in his life, trust me :)

Sorry for the wringer level, which I didn't quite feel anymore after the many months of writing - guess I should add "gut-wrenching" to the warnings.

I hope you liked the story a little anyway...

Thanks for the comment!

Oh wow, you certainly put Pike through the wringer. But I enjoyed the this part of the series and the ongoing Starfleet intrigues.

Thank you! We all torture the characters we love - hell, we are even told to do it *G*

Be a Sadist. No matter how sweet and innocent your leading characters, make awful things happen to them-in order that the reader may see what they are made of.

:)) Glad you enjoyed this part!
