Since I don't think it had a lot of readers - heck, even I completely forgot about it - here a repost of an older TOS story that features Kirk/McCoy and implied Pike/Boyce (which probably means it's one of a kind, lol). I love the slow progression of this, the idea of it, sparked by the recording for Jim and the conversation with Boyce for McCoy, and how it won't let them go. How it continues to build as they logically and emotionally work through until they get to a place where they're both ready.

And I saw no abuse of ellipses :)

I didn't think I could imagine Pike/Boyce but you managed it! Loved that they both had to grow accustomed to the idea of 'them', but that they finally made it there. Everyone needs someone.
