Weekend, why?
"Parenteral medication, administered intramuscularly in doses of 2 to 5 mg, is utilized for prompt control of the acutely agitated schizophrenic patient with moderately severe to very severe symptoms. Depending on the response of the patient, subsequent doses may be given, administered as often as every hour, although 4 to 8 hour intervals may be satisfactory."
...So that's what 2 mg of Haldol does, apparently.
I tried to start my weekend early by working a 40 hour week in 4 days and taking Friday off. It was going fine until I was paged for a crisis call at midnight last night and spent 6 hours at the jail and the ER with an acutely psychotic and angry Vietnam vet who was stockpiling weapons in his home and talking about the Viet Cong.
Forgive the dramatic grandstanding, I'm just tired and fed up with crisis calls.
I'm still going to look at wedding dresses tomorrow, though. M, we are still on for 1 PM.
