Fool Moon

I have BJ to thank personally:  I have found the one series of books that I am completely enthralled over with, and marks its' bullet point on my top favorite list of reading material! Yes, better than my Piers Anthony and his greatness on the Incarnations of Immortality; yes, even better than Harry Potter too.   What are they?  The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.

I have just finished Book 2: Fool Moon which is actually better than the first.  I usually don't find a book better than the previous, but again I have.  Perhaps because it was about Werewolves, or perhaps it was just damn good.

Course if you knew me personally, you would know that I have a fascination about Werewolves as they are the only "nightmarish things" to best me in my dreams.  See, I can fight off anything from vampires, ghosts, to movie horror fiends, but not werewolves...it's not that I can't fight them, but it's actually that when I do, the damn things find a way to out-smart me at it.  I seem to wake up before the shredding, which puts me in a sweat.  It's almost as if my mind finds a way to think of something I didn't; like when you come up with the perfect plan, and then say the unexpected-not-thought-of happens which seems to be the case.  Personally, if you wrote a book about me, my antagonist would be a Werewolf.

All that being said, the book was fantastic.  I couldn't stop reading it which was a pity cause I think I finished it under 6-9 hours or about.   It's defiantly re-readable material, but nothing beats reading it for the first time.  Course now I've already got eyes on book 3: Grave Peril -- maybe I could get Santa to bring it to me ;)

Till next time, Frag a friend.
