I haven't updated in over a month - whoops!
Tonight I leave for England. I'm excited, but also kind of nervous. But I am sure it is going to be a very fun month!
So far this summer has been everything I could reasonably hoped for - and that's a good thing. I've really loved the people I've been spending time with. And my last night was an enjoyable one. Even though I've still been having extreme cases of nostalgia every now and then, it's been happening less frequently, and I think that's a good thing - even if I never want to forget the slightest detail of anything that has ever happened to me, whether it was terribly depressing or very exciting.
I'll miss the long, late night poker games in Jess's basement, the trip to the zoo, hanging out with Caroline more often than during the school year, late night drives to Taco Bell, sitting around at elementary schools late at night just talking with people I love. It's periods like these, I think, where I don't want to grow up, because I feel like all that kind of stuff is gone as soon as you become an adult, and I am glad to stay a kid for as long as possible.
From this point forward this summer, I will be in Rochester for no longer than a total of perhaps 10 or 12 days, so those times are winding down - for now. But I am looking forward to the next two months in England, Oregon and sometimes Rochester, even though I am a little nervous.
