(no subject)
it's been a little too long since my last update.
but so far, this summer has been pretty good. last night was spent sitting outside walgreen's with jess, kate and amy while jess blew balloons up and kate attempted to make various animals out of them. often this resulted in a strange looking kangaroo in the midst of giving birth and / or a goose appearing to give itself head. a glorious time indeed!
the fact we've played poker at least a couple times and made bets with high stakes of one dollar each only makes things more exciting in an absurd way.
as chockley commented below, i love that group of friends, which extends beyond just jess, kate and amy to include chockley, kp and graham as well as some occasional others.
i am excited for england, but even so part of me wishes i could just stay in rochester for the whole four months of summer. and, while i was slightly sad to be leaving michigan state the night before i returned to this city, i am now completely indifferent as to whether i ever go back to that university. i do not look forward to going back; i do not dread going back. if i never went back, i would not care. i have no emotional attachment whatsoever to msu as i do to rochester.
not that it is rochester solely as a physical place i am attached to, but rather the incredibly good friends i have made here. the physical location is simply associated with them.
in any case, as nostalgic as i always am and continue to be, this summer is going well.
