ikea haulage

Recently, I've been making some changes to my room. They're small changes but eventually, it's going to be more and more and I'm super excited. I hated how my room was before. It was like a multitude of ugly colours meshed into one and clashed together horribly. My room is still the same ugly teal blue wall colour along with its wooden shelves and wooden bed which I HATE. I'll one day save up to buy a new bed but that's another day. I don't have that kind of money on me haha.

This is some of the Ikea haulage that I got!

These are the curtains that I got. Except they're pure white and not patterned in any way. I really like them cause they're thick and easy to open and close. My old ones were so annoying and so...green.

I also got these curtains (cause they were on sale and super pretty). I wanted to makeshift them into a pretty princess look for my bed. Still working on figuring out how to put it nicely. I've always wanted to have that kind of affect on my bed so don't judge me haha.

I didn't use the rail itself (cause that's really ugly in my opinion). I only bought it for the extenders (the rail was super cheap and white! hence the buy). I had to use them for my curtains. My rail that I'm currently using is also super ugly but I can't afford to buy new ones at the moment so just using them for now.

This is the drawer compartment storage whatever you wanna call it organizer. I pretty much just placed it in my drawer and organized small stuff in there to keep it from messing around a lot.

I got a plain white duvet cover and pillowcase for my bed as well. I wanted pretty much a white theme for my bed hence the curtains and the bedcover and blanket cover. That picture is not the exact one I have but I can't find it online so that's the closest one. Mine doesn't have the lining and texture that the picture shows. It's plain plain plain, just how I like it.

Also got new pillows! My old ones were...well, old haha.

I only got my own laundry basket cause some of my clothes are a delicate wash and my mom's too lazy to read the label and just tosses it in the washing machine which I really hate. So I wash my clothes separately and having it in my room is convenient.

Technically my aunt bought these but I can't find the laundry basket that I bought so these will have to do. They're better than the plastic ones cause these have handles that are easier to carry. Mine is pretty flimsy compared to these baskets but I don't have as much laundry as the rest of the family so I don't need to have a strong one.

I'm trying to slowly get rid of crap on my shelves so that my room looks less cluttered. I think these magazine files do the trick. I'm also going to go back at another time and buy some boxes for my closet cause crap is all over the place in there. I'm also thinking of replacing my closet doors (they're currently mirrored doors) with some good old fashion doors with handles that kind of open out. I'm still debating about that.

My cables annoy the crap out of me because they're all over the place and they collect dust so easily so having it inside this cable organizer is bomb. It's so convenient cause it makes the room look cleaner and it's out of the way.

I use this laptop stand sometimes only because my laptop generates so much heat from the fans and it shuts off if the fans are blocked. So I only use it if I'm not charging my laptop and I'm just watching movies and not surfing the net. Really comfy when I'm on my bed.

I love these magnets. So cute. I only bought the white ones so far but I might go back and buy the black and/or red. Still making up my mind about it. But they're so good and strong on my board haha.

My aunt gave me two of these clothes racks and I like using them but to be honest, if I fix my closet up, I might not use these. It really depends though cause I want my room as less cluttered as possible and seeing my clothes out in the open makes my room look smaller. But for now, these are good cause I see my clothes and it helps me pick them out without being all annoying about it.

I'm still looking for a good bookcase (a glass bookcase probably), a new chair, a new headboard, a new lamp and new closet doors. $$$ is the problem right now! I'll probably ask my parents to buy me the new chair once I find a nice cheap one. Doesn't have to be from Ikea. Oh well, hope you liked my journey so far on my room transformation haha. I'll probably show pictures once I'm satisfied with it.
