Haven't really posted anything of substance in a while, mostly because I've been kind of on-the-go for the past three weeks. I started working as a waitress, and was promoted to manager. It's pretty exhausting, but I don't mind it as much as I minded the receptionist job, honestly. So far I have Sunday/Monday's off, but I'm hoping to tack on one more day, since I'm making decent money, the summer's coming closer and closer, and I get to keep all my tips, which have been solid.
I visited Geneseo to see Laura, Sarah, and to pick up Anthony (and bid a fond farewell to Kelly's, since I don't know when I'll see her again). It was, as expected, a great time with fantastic weather, and enormously good company.
Now I'm home for a while, just working, and enjoying the fact that I can generally sleep in since I usually work the night shifts. Anthony and I are dating again, which is fun. I met him and the boys upstate for the first time this summer, this past weekend. I had to work Friday and Saturday, but Sunday I motored on up to the Catskills for two days of love and music. The upstate camp is truly a little magical bubble, complete with tales of Poontaka (the enormous white gorilla that has its den in the woods), s'mores around the bonfire, and overwhelming amounts of beer. I actually overdosed on the festivities and spent most of Monday incapacitated, but I feel as though I needed to learn that the hard way. Jay, Brian, and Rob are also some of the funniest, nicest guys I've ever met, which sounds like a trite and unexciting way to describe them, but its also the most accurate.
I guess that's about it for now, but I figured I'd let all my endearing fans know I was alive, reasonably well, and I foresee posts of even MORE substance in the near future. YAY
Also, I might be seeing AC/DC in July. Who wants to compete to be my best friend?
