I feel it is polite to respond to email (spam excepted). But is it required for a recruiter who obviously hasn't bothered to read your résumé before emailing you - (s)he's apparently hit it from a keyword search, but your skills and experience don't match the position at all?

Do I want to work with a recruiter who doesn't use a spellcheck? "Airforce"? The job description itself showed poor proofreading, although it probably came from the prospective employer that way. (So would I want to work for that company? Are they too busy/rushed to do better? Or too lazy? Or ignorant?)
